Introduction

The AHAZTUAK association ( 1936-1977), invited us to participate in a compilation disc called “Canciones para la Memoria”,or “Songs for the Memory”, with which it celebrated the 23 of September 2008, the 70th anniversary of the withdrawal of the International Brigade from Spanish territories.
 
 Briganthya participated with a version of Christie Moore's "Viva la Quinta Brigada", in homage to all the Irish volunteers in the International Brigade, specifically the “James Connolly”, which was named after the Irish freedom fighter executed by the English after the Easter Uprising of 1926.
 
 
  Briganthya took part in this project with other artists such as Llan de Cubel (Asturies), Bide Ertzean (Euskadi), Mikel Urdangarin (Euskadi)and Nuberu (Asturies)
