After a 2 month wait and severals sessions of casting we chose the French-Basque singer Maialen Errotabehere to join the new Briganthya project. Her warm and masterly voice enchanted us from the very beginning. Her excellent interpretation and understanding of folk music help to make the powerful voice of Maialen and the energetic music of Briganthya perfect partners.

 
 Despite her youth. At only 28 Maialen already has considerable professional and musical experience. Her charisma and stage know-how have been demonstrated in various musical projects in some of the Basque country's most important venues such as : Teatro Principal de Bayona, Teatro Gare du Midi (Biarritz), Kursaal (San Sebastián) y Palacio Euskalduna (Bilbao). It is important to point out that she has the oppurtunity to captivate audiences in Brittany, Barcelona, Quebec, Argentina and Hungary
 
  She has shared stages with artists of national and international acclaim such as; Benito Lertxundi, Ruper Ordorika, Anje Duhalde, Oreka TX, Michael Jones (Oladarra), Gilles Servat and Moriarty among others.
  With the warm tone of her voice she has developed a masterful style in various registers, and various styles of music, such as; Folk, Góspel, Jazz or Blues.

  She already has recordings behind her, “Nere Mundua” (with the participation of Anje Duhalde, Mixel Ducau and Oldarra) and “Askatasunen Ibaia” (with the participation of the American folk singer Julie Lambert and the exceptional French harmonica player, Nico Wayne Toussaint), both with the “Agorila” label.
  It seems that destiny has caused the paths of Briganthya and Maialen to cross in 2011, combining in an exceptional manner the experience and feeling of Maialen's voice and the energetisc and singular music of Briganthya.

This is the beginning of a new adventure....
